Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst
Exciting opportunity for a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to join a growing and highly respected cyber security function within a global financial services organisation headquartered in Dublin. This is a strategically important role, focused on proactively identifying and mitigating emerging cyber threats, enabling the business to remain resilient and secure in an increasingly complex threat landscape.
This hybrid role suits a skilled analyst who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, bringing together threat intelligence, data analysis, and strong communication skills to inform cyber defence strategies. Working as part of a collaborative team, the successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring and reporting on cyber threat developments, producing actionable intelligence to support business risk decisions and operational responses.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyse, and disseminate cyber threat intelligence from a variety of open and closed sources
- Monitor the global threat landscape to identify emerging cyber threats relevant to the business
- Produce timely, high-quality intelligence reports and briefings for technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborate with internal teams including SOC, incident response, and risk management to integrate threat intelligence into cyber defence operations
- Support the development of threat actor profiles and contribute to threat modelling exercises
- Maintain relationships with external threat intelligence providers, law enforcement, and industry groups
- Utilise threat intelligence platforms and automation tools to streamline intelligence workflows
- Provide subject matter expertise during security incidents and post-incident analysis
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a cyber threat intelligence or related cyber security role
- Strong understanding of cyber threat actors, TTPs (tactics, techniques, and procedures), and the cyber kill chain
- Experience with threat intelligence frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, STIX/TAXII
- Familiarity with tools such as ThreatConnect, MISP, or similar platforms
- Excellent analytical and written communication skills, with the ability to distil complex information clearly
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a high-pressure environment
- Relevant certifications such as GCTI, GCIA, or CISSP are desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in cyber security, information technology, or a related field preferred
